Celebrating Success

Congratulations to our Founder and One of our Directors - Mr Dayo Olowosale who won the 2018 Buckinghamshire Dignity and Respect Award in the Community Engagement category.

Dayo is known for his accomplishments in strengthening Community Integration and building confidence in people.

He has contributed so much in Dementia Awareness to members of the Nigerian Community and spends time visiting Nigerian Patients in the Spinal Unit at Stoke Mandeville, making them feel less isolated

Spare Some Books Projects

Pleased to annouce that the Spare Some Books campaign led by Dayo Olowosale, founder and one of our Directors  and our Steering Group has been a huge success!

In October 2018, over 300 writing materials was donated to Doyisem Primary School in Nigeria. Likewise, in August 2017, over 350 books donated by residents in Aylesbury and Milton Keynes was delivered to the Sheyn School in Nigeria who contacted our group via our website. 

We have been bowled over by the donations.

Our Objectives

To help enhance the chances of the  " Not In Education Employment or Training" get back to work by organising trainings, seminars and workshops

To develop good relationships with other similar groups within the wider community in order to achieve same goals quicker and more efficiently

To operate a supportive and sustainable social enterprise

To improve skills and build confidence within the community

To promote awareness of Nigerian Culture

Nigerian Community Association Aylesbury is a Sport Loving Organization as we believe, been sport active has so many advantages : Engaging the youths in physical activities, Medical Advantages, improving Psychomotor domain of the children and also enhances more confidence in the children

Wazobia Project

Wazobia Project will focus on the community, educating them on on Cultural tradition Cultural tradition in Nigeria compared with UK. As Nigerians living in the UK, our heritage is Nigeria Heritage Hence, reason why our children must not forget their Heritage. As part of UK diverse Heritage, it is ideal for others in the UK to know and understand Our Cultural traditions, Ethnic Groups,  Histories of Nigerian stories of Nigerian Cultural Cultural behaviour and integration to the UK system.

We are Dementia Friendly

Nigerian Community Association Aylesbury hosted Dementia Friends Awareness session with the National Association of Nigerian Communities UK (NANC UK) Central Executive Committee on Saturday 25th of February 2017 at the Aylesbury Vale Multicultural Centre Aylesbury.

The Session was facilitated by Marion Child - A Dementia Friends Champion with  Alzheimer's Society.
